  • Two of the wide spread problems of females throughout the world are Breast and Ovarian cancer and the scientists have been working on these cancers for very long still some causes or reasons were undefined.Recently a new study was carried on the genes and their impact on cancers and for the first time in medical history the scientists have got successful in isolating the lengthy protein that is encoded by BRCA2 gene.
This thing has been notified that the dysfunction of this gene can cause both the above mentioned cancers.
By separating the protein from the rest of compound the scientists were able to study its more closely and see what exactly the impression it carries for the whole body. According to Wolf-Dietrich Heyer, senior author of a paper appearing online in the journal Nature Structural & Molecular Biology and co-leader of the Molecular Oncology Program at the University of California, Davis, Cancer Center “With having the entire protein purified now, one has a chance to actually understand the whole protein” and “It’s a huge protein. People were studying individual pieces but never got the full picture. Now we can really start to analyze its mechanisms”.
Thus we can say that scientists have found a new way of opening the internals of that protein and this will help in the prevention as well as cure of the breast cancer.
