The American girl Venus won the match against kim in wimbledon.In women singles, Venus entered into third round.Wednesday the match happened and the scores are as follows.Venus(6-7(6-8),6-3,8-6) won against Japan veteran 40 years old kim.
After Wimbledon, the Williams sisters are scheduled to come to Washington DC. Venus is scheduled to play for the World Team Tennis Washington Kastles in DC on July 5th. Venus will follow two days later.
The sister superstars are coming off long layoffs due to injuries. Serena Williams is a No. 7 seed and Venus Williams is a No. 23 seed at Wimbledon this year. But given their athleticism and past success on the grass– between them they have won eight of the last ten Wimbledon Championships – they can’t be counted out. The big questions to answer are how fit are they, and can they find their way back to their previous heights?
Given their long layoffs upon entering the tournament, it may be too much to ask that either or both can make it to the Wimbledon finals. But it will be interesting to see how deep into the tournament they can go.
